Ostenfeldt has been appointed senior vice president and head of technical operations at the chemical tanker owner, ending a four-year stay with Thome.
Ostenfeldt, a former AP Moller and MAN Diesel man, will join Nordic in January next year.
He is one of two new recruits at Nordic this week, with Henriette Schutze taking up the chief financial officer's position.
