The two New York-listed companies in the Scorpio group are eliminating a controversial 1% commission on sale and purchase of vessels to a private insider management entity, it was announced today.
The overhaul will see Scorpio Tankers no longer pay the 1% fee for vessels it sells or acquires effective immediately, and sister company Scorpio Bulkers freed of the fee for acquisitions.
