Dorian LPG’s US chief executive is concerned about the newbuild ordering spree that has taken place in LPG shipping over the past months.
But the additional ships will be offset with the expected removal of nearly three dozen older vessels from the fleet over the coming years.
Speaking at an investor webinar hosted by Capital Link, John Lycouris says orders from Trafigura, Vitol and Petredec have pushed the very large gas carrier (VLGC) orderbook to about 12% of the global fleet.
