Korea's Hyundai Mipo Dockyard has said it will deliver the world's first ballast-free vessel in September.
It is building a 7,500-cbm LNG bunkering ship for Bernhard Schulte Shipmanagement that will require no ballast water.
An executive at the yard told the Maeil daily that its technology would reduce ship ordering costs and allow the unit to consume less energy and have a bigger load capacity.
