KSS Line ties up VLGC newbuilding

KSS Line has secured a five-year time charter for a VLGC gas carrier ordered in October, the company tells TradeWinds.

Japanese shipowner JX Ocean has agreed to take the ship, which is due to be delivered in late 2017, at an annual rate of KRW 12bn ($10.5m).

The South Korean shipowner tells TradeWinds that the deal is worth over KRW 60bn, which represents 44% of its total revenue in 2014.
