Energy logistics giant Kinder Morgan says it received approval from US regulators to build a $2bn LNG export facility along the US Atlantic Coast.

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission gave its approval on the Elba Liquefaction Project, which is located on Elba Island off the coast of Georgia.

The project’s scope includes 10 liquefaction trains producing a total of 2.5 million tonnes per annum (mtpa) of LNG.
