Protection and indemnity mutual the American Club says it has managed to increase rates but lost some tonnage at this year’s 20 February policy renewal.
The New York-based mutual said that following the renewal premium income across its P&I, freight demurrage and defence (FD&D) and charterers’ business lines remained “flat”.
The club said entered P&I mutual tonnage fell by around 9% amounting to 17 million gt.
