ExxonMobil hinted this week it is open to exporting LNG produced from its Canadian shale gas assets in the Horn River basin.
Investor relations vice president David Rosenthal emphasised in a conference call that the supermajor’s drilling activities in the Alberta play are still in the evaluation and delineation phase.
However, asked about the possibility of using the gas as LNG feedstock, he said: “With a resource potentially as large as that we are exploring all of the options that are out there, and we’ll continue to do so.”
