Hoegh LNG is competing on five floating storage and regasification unit projects as it focuses in on the regas sector.

The Norwegian outfit said in a results presentation this week it is “actively engaged in ongoing tender processes and one bilateral discussion for FSRU projects worldwide”, all of which are expected to lead to contract awards this year.

The company listed two opportunities in Chile, which are thought to be the GasAtacama and Colbun projects, an Indonesian venture understood to be Pertamina’s Central-East Java FSRU, another unnamed project in Asia, and a fifth in the Caribbean that observers identified as Jamaica’s planned floater.
