NGM Energy is making its first tanker newbuilding order since the global financial crisis.
Shipbuilding and shipowning sources said the Nicholas G Moundreas family company has contracted one firm and one optional suezmax at New Times Shipbuilding in China — and the Jiangsu-based shipyard is set to deliver the firm unit at the end of 2020.
No price has been given for the 156,000-dwt crude carrier.
