Singapore-based feeder-containership operator Bengal Tiger Line (BTL) is bucking the consolidation trend in the feeder markets by launching new services linking Taiwan and the Philippines archipelago.
This week, the company will kick off the new services with its 1,510-teu Tiger Pearl (built 1994) sailing from the Taiwanese transhipment hub of Kaohsiung to Cebu, a major port in the southern Philippines.
The vessel will operate a fixed-day weekly service between the two ports.
