PIRAEUS: A collision between two Greek-owned ships in the Dardanelles

this week may add fuel to Turkish arguments on navigational safety in

the area, since neither vessel was carrying a pilot at the time of the

accident.



The 1970-built tanker Athenian Harmony (30,300 dwt), operated by

Athenian Sea Carriers, rammed the 41,000-dwt bulk carrier Captain

Nicholas (built 1994), operated by Seastar Maritime Management.
