The biggest highs for Hugh McCoy during his 30 years in shipbroking were

notching up personal sale and purchase (S&P) triumphs, but also

building up the corporate might of Horace Clarkson.

The lows came when McCoy, as new managing director of the publicly

quoted company, found himself losing a public relations battle with

unhappy shareholders led by Peter Stokes.

McCoy also admits that his departure from the shipbroking giant has not

been as easy as he would have liked.
