The company has sold six elderly vessels since 2011 and is also likely to dispose of the 19,100-dwt stainless-steel tanker Kristin Knutsen (built 1998).
According to the annual report for Haugesund-based TS Shipping for 2012, the company’s older products and chemical tankers “will most probably be sold if we can achieve acceptable prices”.
The report states that two of the four modern tankers in the fleet — the 16,600-dwt Louise Knutsen and Birgit Knutsen (both built 2010) — have secured two-year fixtures and that all four are now on time charters.
