Norway's Siem Offshore has secured a charter from Australia's Woodside Energy for a dual-fuel platform supply vessel (PSV) which looks set to become the first vessel to run on LNG in the southern hemisphere.
Siem said a VS4411-type newbuilding, which can run on LNG or diesel, will head to Dampier in western Australia for five years in early 2017. There are also options for two more years.
