Japanese shipowner K Line is moving into offshore wind farm shipping in tandem with a daughter company.
K Line Wind Service will be up and running from 1 June as a joint venture with shipowning affiliate Kawasaki Kinkai.
The combined company will start offering support services using Kawasaki Kinkai's 12,200-bhp anchor-handling tug supply vessel Akatsuki (built 2016) and the new 6,000-bhp Kaiko (built 2021).
