Norway's Solstad Offshore says it has 29 unwanted ships still to sell as it spies an increase in activity in its markets.

As part of its $2bn financial restructuring in 2020, the Oslo-listed owner has sold eight of 37 offshore support vessels classed as non-core.

The fleet now stands at 121 ships and the long-term target is for a fleet of between 80 and 90 modern vessels, according to chief executive Lars Peder Solstad.
