Aston in Russia has signed up for two 82,000-dwt bulker newbuildings at Chengxi Shipyard.
According to shipbuilding sources, the Russian grain exporter and food production company ordered the kamsarmax bulkers several weeks ago but the newbuildings deal has remained under the radar.
“This is probably the first time that Aston is ordering kamsarmax bulker newbuildings,” one of the sources said.
