A Navios Maritime Partners-controlled supramax has been refloated after grounding on a Maldives reef on 19 August.

The incident involving the 58,735-dwt Navios Amaryllis (built 2009) has now led to a claim for compensation of $6.5m from the Maldives Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

The Maldives National Defence Force said on Twitter that the bulker was pulled free of the K Rasfari reef on the afternoon of 29 August.
