Commercial maritime software Veson Nautical has bought bulker-tracking platform Oceanbolt for an undisclosed price.

Like some tanker-tracking platforms, Oceanbolt combines real-time AIS and geospatial satellite data to build up a picture of dry bulk commodity flows and shipping operations.

The Oslo-based platform was formed in 2019 by former investment banker Niclas Daehli Priess and Mads Schou-Andreasen, a former Torvald Klaveness analyst with a background in management consulting.
