New York-listed Scorpio Tankers has revealed some big buybacks, including the reacquisition of six product carriers, as it lowers finance costs.
The Emanuele Lauro-led company said it had exercised options to purchase 2014-built MR vessels leased to China Huarong Financial Leasing as asset prices rise.
The tankers are the 50,000-dwt STI Opera, STI Venere, STI Aqua, STI Dama, STI Regina and the 52,000-dwt STI Virtus.
