Moody’s Investors Service has concerns over a normalising container ship sector and high levels of newbuilding deliveries.

But this has not stopped the ratings agency upgrading giant line AP Moller-Maersk’s outlook from stable to positive, with its Baa2 credit rating reaffirmed.

“Maersk has continued to strengthen its operating performance over the previous quarters amid the favourable market environment for container shipping, efficiency improvements and a further vertical integration into logistic assets,” said Daniel Harlid, Moody’s lead analyst for Maersk.
