UK-based Navig8 Group has set up a new pool for older aframaxes as it continues to split some vessel operations by age.
The world’s largest independent pool and commercial management operation said the V8 Plus Pool will start life with three vessels owned by Cypriot firm Castor Maritime.
The 115,000-dwt Wonder Polaris, Wonder Sirius (both built 2005) and Wonder Bellatrix (built 2006) are currently listed as operating in Navig8’s V8 Pool, which is now intended for ships of up to 15 years of age.
