India’s Great Eastern Shipping has posted another large profit, but weaker bulker and product tanker markets meant it failed to match that of a year earlier.
The country’s biggest private shipowner said net earnings in its second quarter to 30 September were INR 5.95bn ($71.5m), against INR 7.69bn in the same period of 2022.
Revenue dropped to INR 14.6bn
