A change at the top is in prospect at the Norwegian defence club, Nordisk Skibsrederforening, after the resignation of managing director Karl Even Rygh, who is returning to private practice.

Rygh is stepping down after little more than three years at the helm of Oslo-based Nordisk, one of the top freight, demurrage and defence (FD&D) mutuals.

The Nordisk managing director plans to join Wiersholm, one of Norway’s leading law firms, which already has a large shipping practice.
