AP Moller-Maersk is teaming up with Royal Vopak to launch a 0.5% sulphur fuel bunkering facility in Rotterdam.

The initiative with the Dutch terminals group will cater for about 20% of Maersk's global demand.

The plant will supply 2.3m tonnes per year. Maersk, as well as any other interested third parties, will provide IMO 2020-compliant fuel to vessels trading with and inside Europe, it said.
