The UK admiralty court has set a date for the sale of a platform supply vessel abandoned by its bankrupt Indian owner.

The 4,500-dwt Malaviya Twenty (built 2004) will be sold by sealed bids on 11 September, admiralty broker Eggar Forrester said.

The vessel is lying at Great Yarmouth.

The captain of the vessel hit the headlines earlier this summer during a 17-month ordeal at the port.
