Restructuring German shipping lender Nord/LB is to lay off 1,250 workers by the end of 2020.
The move is part of its "One Bank" transformation which also involves discussions on bringing in new investors.
The lender said that in November it will start to seek voluntary redundancies and early retirements.
A total of 430 jobs will go due to streamlining of internal lending processes and management support functions.
