VLCC rates on the main benchmark routes have hit a year-to-date high in terms of Worldscale points, with healthy charter demand across the regions ahead of China’s Golden Week holiday.
According to the Baltic Exchange, rates on the key TD3C route between the Middle East Gulf and China reached WS 59.54 on Friday, up from the week-ago level of WS 57.21.
