AGL Shipping is changing up the floating storage and regasification unit it plans to use on its delayed Australian LNG project.

Hoegh LNG announced Friday that the Hoegh Giant was being switched out in favor of the Hoegh Esperanza for a decade-long charter at the Crib Point project, roughly 40 miles southeast of Melbourne.

The company said the Hoegh Esperanza was a better fit environmentally, as it was outfitted with both closed and open loop regasification systems.
