Finnish group Aspo has lowered second-quarter profit guidance after its supramaxes turned in a loss.

The company, which operates vessels under the ESL Shipping name, said operating earnings will be lower than previously forecast at between €24m ($26.76m) and €30m.

It had earlier expected profit in the range of €28m and €33m.

The figure for the second quarter of 2018 was €20.6m.
