Greece’s Lydia Mar Shipping Co, a subsidiary of German shipping firm Aug Bolten, has taken over management of a handysize bulker sold by AM Nomikos last month for about $5.3m.

Clients of Lydia Mar have entrusted technical and crew management of the 31,800-dwt Giza I (built 2002) to the Piraeus-based company, an Aug Bolten spokesman said. The ship has been renamed Dem Five and was delivered to Lydia Mar in early April.
