An Azerbaijan-owned cargoship has been banned from Paris MoU ports after being detained for the third time in two years.
The 8,600-dwt Sara (built 2003) was held in Monfalcone, Italy, on 3 September for three days with 20 deficiencies.
These included problems with the crew certificates and emergency lighting, an inoperative public address system and insufficient provisions.
The ban lasts for three months.
