Germany's United Heavy Lift (UHL) and Spanish liner operator Marguisa have formed a new project cargo company designed to target business in Africa.

The new company, United Marguisa Lines (UML), will be headed by managing directors Francisco Duran and Christian Monsted.

The Denmark-headquartered company will initially operate two multipurpose (MPP) vessels, the 12,346-dwt UML Veronica and UML Valentina (both built 2010).
