Greece’s Kondinave has increased its exposure to the post-panamax bulker sector, spotting a market opportunity.
Managers at the Piraeus-based company confirmed the acquisition of the 88,300-dwt Sakura Wave (built 2010). The ship entered the Kondinave fleet this month under its new name, Panopi.
Previous owner Sato Steamship achieved slightly above $12m for the Imabari-built vessel in a deal in January.
