Dutch owner Royal Boskalis Westminster has been awarded a five-year contract to dredge the Martin Garcia channel between Uruguay and Argentina.
Boskalis said it will carry out the project in a 50-50 joint venture with Dredging, Environmental and Marine Engineering, a group of international firms focused on dredging and other related activities.
Signing for the EUR 110m ($130.1m) project, awarded by the Comision Administradora del Rio de la Plata, is expected to take place in the coming weeks.
