An executive of Bourbon Offshore has formally announced his bid to become Singapore’s new president.
Farid Khan Kaim Khan, chairman of Bourbon Offshore Asia, said he will contest the upcoming presidential election to be held in September, Channel News Asia reported.
Singapore has introduced changes to its election system with this year’s presidency reserved for candidates from the Malay community, an ethnic group inhabiting in various places in southeast Asia.
