Norway's Golden Energy Offshore is upgrading two platform supply vessels (PSVs) with battery-powered systems.
Rolls-Royce Commercial Marine has been contracted to deliver the kits to the 4,500-dwt NS Orla and NS Frayja (built 2014).
The deal includes the SAVe Energy system, which was launched by Rolls-Royce earlier this month.
The Dynamic Positioning (DP) system, main switchboard and ACON control systems will also be upgraded, the shipowner said.
