Icebreaker operator Trans Viking Icebreaking & Offshore has cancelled a Swedish contract and signed an Estonian and a $70m Russian one.
Its ice-class AHTS Vidar Viking (built 2001) of 18,300-bhp and 210-tonne bollard pull is currently on charter to the Swedish Maritime Administration.
It has been mutually agreed to cancel this agreement.
The owner will repay any charter hire already paid for the 2012 season.
