Fortescue Metals Group (FMG) is pursuing a plan to build a second iron ore port in Australia as it continues to try to resolve legal battles with bulker owners.

The mining group cancelled a series of charter contracts in December as rates slumped.



It has already paid out to Belgium’s Bocimar and George Economou’s Classic Maritime.
