Energy giants Equinor and BP have together signed a deal to invest as much as $250m to transform the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal (SBMT) in New York into a leading offshore wind port.
The facility would service the 3.3 GW of capacity the joint venture currently has under development via its Empire Wind 1&2 and Beacon Wind projects.
