A fire aboard a Carnival Corp owned passenger ship likely stemmed from loose bolts on fuel piping, according to an official investigation.
The US National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) issued the findings in its report on a 7 September 2015 engine room fire aboard the 2,970-berth Carnival Liberty (built 2005). The fire took place while the vessel docked at St Thomas.
