A Maersk Line boxship which got involved into a collision three days ago is deemed suitable for towage.
The Danish conglomerate gave an update on the situation of the 4,650-teu Safmarine Meru (built 2006) and said the fire is currently under control.
It broke out when the ship collided with the 8,411-teu Northern Jasper (built 2009), around 120 nautical miles east of Ningbo, on Saturday.
