The US Coast Guard (USCG) has been called to evacuate injured seafarers from vessels in two separate cases over the Easter holidays.

On Monday the USCG in Miami medevaced a 27-year-old man from a Hoegh Autoliners car carrier 14 miles east of Lake Worth Inlet.

It received a call on VHF-FM marine-band radio from a crewmember aboard the 8,500-ceu Hoegh Trotter (built 2016) stating a crewmember was suffering from concussion-like symptoms.
