SwissMarine has reportedly sold another veteran capesize bulker for demolition, in what is its send scrap sale in 2017.
The Geneva-based shipowner is said sold the 170,000-dwt Cornavin (built 1999) for a reported $344 per ldt, according to Clarksons.
SwissMarine will receive just over $7m for the 20,535-ldt vessel from Indian subcontinent shipbreakers for the South Korean-built ship.
The sale of the Conavin will leave SwissMarine with ten owned capesize bulkers, according to a fleet list on its website.
