Thoresen Shipping appears to be buying its third bulker this year.
Sources say the company has tied up the Tsuneishi-built, 82,400-dwt Ocean Phoenix I (built 2007) for between $13m and $13.5m.
The deal shows the company wants to diversify from supramax ships. Its current fleet totals 20 bulkers, of which 17 are supramaxes, including both previous ships bought this year.
