Greece’s Atlantic Bulk Carriers Management has ended a brief return to the tanker market, selling its only product carrier in a $33m deal.

Several brokers in the UK and the US report the company is offloading the 50,000-dwt Desert Mariner (built 2018). The Hyundai Vinashin Shipyard-built product tanker is understood to be going to a non-Greek, multinational outfit. Some brokers have identified the buyer as JP Morgan in a deal that includes a five-year time charter to Cargill.
