CoscoCS has rubbished a report it is to close three of five shipyards acquired from affiliate Cosco Corp (Singapore).
China Daily cited Liang Yanfeng, general manager of the newly formed Cosco Shipping Heavy Industry (CSHI), as saying the company would shut the plants to cut capacity in the downturn.
But CSHI has now said the newspaper did not interview Liang and the report was false.
