UK coastal tanker group James Fisher has said its ships continue to trade well so far in 2017.

Overall performance for its marine services businesses has been in line with management expectations, it added.

Tankers are matching the "good" results achieved in 2016, when their operating profit reached £8.2m ($10.15m), against £7.1m the year before.

"For the year, the group's outlook remains positive and the board believes that James Fisher continues to be well placed to provide further growth and value for its shareholders," it added.
