Russian energy group Lukoil wants to muscle in on the Singapore marine oils sector.

The CEO of its lubricants division LLK-International, Maxim Donde, told reporters the company would like to a buy a production plant in the Asian country.

"Unfortunately, the market is not providing us with such opportunities at the moment," Interfax quoted him as saying.

"We produce at outside facilities and sell about 60,000 tonnes of marine oils in Singapore.
